The 21st HB Interhospital Golf Tournament gets underway on August 16, 2017 at Mt. Malarayat Golf and Country Club in Batangas.

Staged in honor of Director Emeritus Dr. Homobono Calleja, the HB Interhospital tournament is a continuing tradition which celebrates St. Luke’s Medical Center’s shared passion not only for the academe, patient care, and continuing medical education, but for the love of golf.

Last year, the HB golf tournament became a game changer with a record number of participants.   Despite the busy schedules, all of the respective institutions were represented, and as the COMMUNITY grew, so did the friendly COMPETITION, giving way to more CAMARADERIE and CONVIVIALITY.

This year promises to be even bigger! Co-presented by the Dr. HB Calleja Heart and Cardiovascular Institute and St. Luke’s Medical Center Quezon City, the tournament has lined up a strong line-up of sponsors and friends.

This coming September 29, 2017, the Immaculate Conception Academy (ICA) Batch ’94 Foundation, in cooperation with the Manila Southwoods Golf & Country Club (MSGCC) Ladies Chapter, gives you the chance to take on the famed Jack Nicklaus-designed Masters Course of the Manila Southwoods Golf & Country Club in The 19th Masters Challenge tournament.

This joint tournament by ICA Batch ’94 and the MSGCC Ladies Chapter merges one of the longest-running tournaments in the country with the ICA Scholarship Program’s drive to provide quality education for underprivileged but deserving children.  Moreover, proceeds from this 2-person best ball tournament will also fund various advocacies of the Missionary Sisters of ICA, the professional development programs of the ICA faculty, and the charities of the MSGCC Ladies Chapter.

Just think about it: it’s not everyday that you get a chance to pitch in for humanity while playing in one of the most beautiful (and toughest!) golf courses in the country.  No need to think twice about this one, golf fans.

Swinging Like Romans

The Junior Chamber International Manila Senate invites you to its annual JCI Manila Senate golf tournament named “Swinging like Romans” on September 18 at the Sta. Elena Golf and Country Club.

These ladies really know how to put on a great show.

Last September 29, Immaculate Conception Academy (ICA) high school Batch ’94, in cooperation with the Manila Southwoods Golf & Country Club (MSGC) Ladies Chapter, pulled off arguably the most impressive local tournament of the year with the 19th Master’s Challenge.

Held at the famed Masters course of Manila Southwoods, the tournament was more than just a regular round of 18 holes as it provided the participants with a very enjoyable golfing experience.

Upon registering and heading to their respective lockers, participants were greeted by a personalized welcome card on their lockers which summarized all the treats they were going to get for the day.

The inside of the lockers resembled a fancy hotel’s mini-bar with a host of snacks, personal effects, and other cool items from the tournament’s generous sponsors.

Out on the fairways, golfers were never given a chance to go hungry with the Kenny Rogers chicken stop and merienda buffet tents that were strategically set up throughout the course.


Dehydration wasn’t a problem either with the Seattle’s Best coffee station and roving “beverage cart” (which served ice-cold sports drinks, juices, water and beer) making sure everyone’s thirst was quenched.

There was more eating and drinking after golf during the formal program as golfers enjoyed the roast beef buffet, pasta bar, and ice cream station while hearing each of their names called out for exciting raffle prizes.

And while everyone already felt like big winners with the numerous treats, there was still that select few golfers who managed to not only play through the thrill of all the abundance being showered around, but played well enough to actually win their respective divisions (yes, it was a tournament after all).

1st Art+ Invitational Golf Tournament to kick off Art+ Magazine’s 10th Year!

On 19 April 2018, the British Chamber of Commerce will hold its 6th GREAT British Golf Tournament at Wack Wack Golf and Country Club in partnership with Coventry Motors Corporation. This annual golf challenge brings together golf enthusiasts from the top companies in the country and representatives from the British Embassy.

Following the turnout from last year’s tournament, over 100 golf players are expected to attend this upcoming event. The 9th Annual CHARity Golf Tournament is set. And it only gets bigger and better this year.

Char Venturina, tournament host and organizer, has once again gathered her team of hardworking and fun-loving family members and friends to give avid golfers another opportunity to test their skills in the picturesque par-66 Club Intramuros golf course.

More important than all the golf to be played this year, all funds raised from the tournament will support new charitable efforts such as a medical mission for the caddies and staff of Club Intramuros. These are over and above the many organizations and activities that the tournament has continuously supported: the St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Every Sole Counts, St. Rita Orphanage, Taguig CityJail, Virlanie Foundation, Philippine Cerebral Palsy Inc., Kythe Foundation, East Ave Medical Center, emergency relief operations, and various medical missions. Manila Elks Lodge #761, the American Club in the Philippines will be hosting its annual Charity Golf Tournament “16TH PRESIDENT’S CUP” on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Canlubang Golf and Country Club Calamba Laguna. Manila Elks Lodge#761 is non-stock organization whose major role is charity.

American and Filipino are welcome to attend this sports event. There will be Bus Service for players from Makati to Canlubang and going back to Makati for awarding and dinner – Corinthian Plaza, Gamboa St., Paseo De Roxas, Makati. The tournament is expected to start at 9:15 with the shotgun start.
